2. OBJECTIVES OF "SSP " POSTER.
Leading idea
The leading idea is to try to show that "safe sex" is not boring. Constraints of safety are not synonymous of "puritan life" nor abstinence (which is possibly unreachable target for some groups of society.
3. MESSAGES
To deliver the following "1st lines
messages":
The poster is mainly a reminder of the safe and unsafe sexual practices with
the adequate precautions to be taken ("use of condoms" and "do
not swallow"). It deals with hetero and homo (MSM and FSF) practices.
Although the design on the poster is more symbolic than erotic (no penis are
view!), it definitely bypasses all previous metaphoric descriptions or allusions
of sexual practices.
In brief: this poster responds to a real need of exhaustive and non metaphoric
description of almost all sexual practices:
To deliver the following "2nd lines messages"
:
- Indirectly it reinforce the idea that it is possible to have strong and
rich safe sexual practice without condom!
- As each poster includes a slogan, some slogans may tackle a few second line
messages such as:
.....o Update concept of virility ("A man who refuse to wear a condom
is not a true man")
.....o Universal moral topic ("You accept unsafe practice? You are a
criminal!")
.....o Freedom has limits ("Open mind OK, but not stupid!")
.....o Etc. ( It is important to mention that if any group is interested in
this sticker but would like to have another message in the middle of the sticker,
this is easily feasible.)
4. TARGETED PEOPLE
- Mainly designed for the student and
young emancipated groups.
- Any sub-groups groups of society usually qualified as "morally dissolute"
("gay activists", gays, "artists" or any other marginal
subgroups of tribal, agrarian, industrial and post industrial groups) are
also targeted. The sticker may at least stimulate them to adhere to the basic
rules of Safe Sex.
- As the poster may be displayed in bars, parlors, saunas etc., this also
may increase awareness about safe sex.
- Impossible to imagine public exhibition of such poster without contraproductive
reaction of agrarian and industrial subgroups of society. Poster should only
be display inside urban meeting houses: (bars, saunas, etc.) and in tribal
area where such poster will not really shock but make crucial information
going "on the point".
- Since the sticker is very symbolic and not erotic at all, the children who
still not reach the age of acute desires will just ignore its meaning..
